The CPI in April 2011 rose by 0.78% from the preceding month (rose by 0.65% less housing cost). Over the last 12 months the CPI rose by 2.8% (CPI less housing cost rose by 2.7%) while the change over the last 3 months is equivalent to an annual inflation of 12.3% (12.2% inflation less housing cost). In Iceland, the HICP rose by 0.9% in March from the preceding month and rose by 1.15% in the EEA. Over the 12 months to March the HICP in Iceland rose by 2.3% and by 3.1% in the EEA.
